Central Operations is the home of over 2,300 employees who handle Fifth Third Bank s back-office functions and Contact Center services for nearly six million customers. Our goal is to operate as an efficient, behind-the-scenes machine to allow Fifth Third Bank transactions to be seamlessly executed for our affiliates and customers. GENERAL FUNCTION: Helps to identify and define systems and business line needs and requirements. Coordinates development and support for new and existing applications. Serves as a liaison between IT, Operations and the business line to analyze business and user needs, document requirements and resolve system problems. Responsibilities include analyzing business and user needs, documenting requirements and resolving system problems as needed. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank#s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Analyze, develop and run SAS reports for the Disputes Resolution Department using proper SAS and SQL variants of code. Work with other Systems Integration analysts to develop processes to hurdle daily obstacles using SAS and SQL.
  • Involved in the planning, testing and implementation of system enhancements.
  • Assists with the research and resolution of system issues.
  • Assists in the planning, testing and implementation of system enhancements and conversions
  • Assists in the development of strategic partnerships with internal and external business partners to develop systems and processes to increase automation and efficiencies
  • Provides users with application level documentation of programming enhancements.
  • Participates in project work, including analysis, requirements definition and testing.
  • Assists in monitoring system and operational controls, identifying areas of risk and suggesting possible improvements.
  • Maintains documentation of changes, test results and training
  • Reviews forms and reports and confer with management and users about format, distribution, and purpose, and to identify problems and improvements
  • Confer with personnel concerned to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures
  • Monitors progress of team members to ensure project completion
  • Prepare reports for management defining and evaluating problems and ultimately recommending solutions
  • Other duties as required.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
  • Undergraduate degree in computer-related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge of Servicing Operations is required.
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Basic office software skills desired.
