JOB TITLE: Telehealth Analyst - Intermediate LOCATION: Geisinger Office Building I, Danville, PA DEPARTMENT: Telehealth WORK SCHEDULE: Days WORK TYPE: Full Time (1.0 FTE) JOB SUMMARY: Geisinger’s Center for Telehealth operationalizes technical solutions that revolutionize healthcare, unifying resources and strategy from across Geisinger Health System. This includes improving integration, alignment and management of telehealth services, development and new services towards the over-riding objectives of improving access, patient experience, and population health.
The Center for Telehealth primarily focuses on solutions that improve access, quality and experience when patients and providers are separated by distance or time, through efficient use of telecommunications technology and electronic information. The Center for Telehealth represents a combination of inpatient and outpatient “modalities described as Scheduled vs. On-Demand for Fixed (bricks and mortar facilities) and Remote services:
Scheduled: Inpatient bedside consults and Outpatient clinic consults at Geisinger and non-Geisinger facilities. eVisits for chronic disease management, follow ups and other services through an expanded care team model
On-Demand: Remote Monitoring, TeleICU, TeleStroke/Trauma, Inpatient store and forward, Careworks and Non-Geisinger sites, eVisits for acute needs, provider to provider communications
The Telehealth Analyst-Intermediate is a business analyst responsible for providing analytic support and performing project tasks in support of Telehealth initiatives. The Telehealth Analyst-Intermediate works with department Senior and Lead Analysts, and interacts with stakeholder teams from clinical, operational, administrative, IT and end user areas. The Telehealth Analyst-Intermediate must be able to execute project tasks, lead small projects and develop efficient analytic approaches to address a broad range of Telehealth initiatives. The Telehealth Analyst-Intermediate must also be skilled in Telehealth technologies.
The Telehealth Analyst-Intermediate reports to the Telehealth Management Team and receives general supervision from Senior and Lead Analysts. COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS: Demonstrates abilities in project documentation, such as requirements, design documents, flow diagrams, training materials, communications and presentations, and basic project management
Demonstrates abilities in analytical thinking for problem solving.
Demonstrates excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrates abilities in data analysis, query tools and report development.
Demonstrates a strong general understanding of technical limitations and capabilities.
Demonstrates ability to effectively interact in a team environment and with high-level management EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Science, Nursing, Business Administration or Healthcare-related field required. Commensurate experience in lieu of a BA/BS may be considered. Minimum of four years clinical experience or project management or related business experience with proven ability to develop successful projects and deliver effective solutions, (or commensurate experience), required.
Experience with telehealth technologies preferably in a large organization is preferred.
Experience with Epic applications and healthcare operations, particularly in a large organization preferred. General understanding of the health care industry preferred. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work is typically performed in an office environment.
