Scope of Responsibility: This position is responsible for conducting inspections of all orders being shipped to ensure that product is packaged according to the customer requirements and that all materials being shipped match the pick ticket.
Audits all materials to be processed for orders.
Verifies that part numbers and quantities of material match the material queue.
Assists with completion of bundle and miscellaneous operations in Epicor.
Interacts with Customer Pick Up (CPU) and LTL drivers ensuring the proper product is loaded and paperwork completed with proper documentations and signatures.
Photographs all packaged and staged materials prior to shipments.
Interacts with Customer Pick Up (CPU) and LTL drivers ensuring the proper product is loaded and paperwork completed with proper documentation and signatures.
Ensures that there are no defects in the craftsmanship of the material.
Ensures that the material conforms to customer requirements for packaging and labeling.
Uses forklifts, pneumatic staple/nail gun, banding equipment, stencil machine, digital camera, radial arm saw, chop saw, and shrink wrap machine as needed.
Learns other warehouse processes and assists warehouse specialists as needed.
Contributes to a safe working environment by being responsible for quality, safety, organization, and cleanliness in area of operation.
Contributes to team effort by communicating and working well with others, as well as accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Maintains a high level of productivity.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent, or any combination of education and experience
1-3 years recent experience working in a warehouse environment including experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively in English within all levels of a team environment
Must have strong attention to detail and be able to multi-task in a fast paced work environment
Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
Must demonstrate the ability to identify errors and apply corrective action to remedy the errors.
Must be able to read and comply with safety rules, operating maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Must be proficient in computer application and data entry; prefer working knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, & Outlook.
Must maintain forklift certification. Operating forklifts with capacity of up to 6,000 pounds and other equipment such as pneumatic staple/nail gun, banding equipment, stencil machine, digital camera, radial arm saw, chop saw, and shrink wrap machine.
Must be able to read and interpret shipping schedules and a tape measure within +/- 1/32 .
Regular and timely attendance is require
Must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions including heat and cold. Warehouse environment may include fluctuations in temperature.
Must be willing and able to work in an environment that is occasionally noisy and dusty.
Must be able to regularly use hands to grasp, pinch or pull materials
Must be able to feel and reach with hands and arms.
Must frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Must be able to occasionally sit, climb, or balance.
Must be able to climb in and out of equipment.
Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to pass the commercial driver s vision test requirements.
