Warehouse Supervisor

NorthStar Seafoods, Inc., is looking for a motivated self-starter to join our growing business.

We supply the highest-quality seafood and protein to restaurants, casinos, hotels, caterers and grocers throughout the Inland Northwest including Spokane, Coeur d’Alene, Sandpoint, Pasco, Kennewick and Richland. As the region’s only seafood distributor that processes our fish locally, we can quickly offer fresher products to our customers. In this key role you will supervise and direct all aspects of fresh and frozen product receipt, storage, distribution, inventory and delivery of product to our customers.

General Responsibilities Include:

Accurately receive all product into the cooler/freezer following HACCP guidelines

Store and rotate stock in the cooler and freezer

Pick product daily to fulfill customer orders

Verify delivery manifests

Operate an electric pallet jack or forklift to transport product

Ensure all material handling equipment is maintained and serviced.

Perform regular cycle counts and determine frequency of counts

Responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy

Efficiently resolve inventory discrepancies.

Supervise delivery driver activities and route planning

Conduct delivery truck inspections as required

Maintain grounds and warehouse to create a safe working environment

Perform other duties as required.

Must have demonstrated excellent written and verbal skills

Proficient in verbal and written English language

Ability to plan yet take quick decisive action when an opportunity presents itself

Knowledge of seafood and protein preferred, as related to safe food handling procedures

Working Environment

Frequently lift product that weighs 1-75 pounds, up to 100 pounds (with help); frequently reach overhead; constantly bend and twist while stocking/picking product; operate a pallet jack and/or forklift.

Frequent exposure to cooler (32 F), Freezer (-10F) and unheated warehouse environment

Requires working extra hours as needed during the summer busy season


At least 18 years of age

Valid Driver’s license

2 years of experience as a warehouse supervisor

Compensation DOE, Salary
